Nynke Laverman
Nynke Laverman is a Dutch singer who mainly sings in Frisian, a language that is spoken in Friesland, the northern province of The Netherlands. On her first album SIELESÂLT (Salt of the soul, 2004) she introduced ‘Frisian fado’.
In 2006 she released DE MAISFROU (The Corn Woman), on which she let in Spanish, Mexican and Cuban influences.
